A baby shower cake from Canada, one of a few from Europe and the United States that’s made into a variety of flavours, will soon be on sale in the United Kingdom and Europe.
The Cake Bites from Baby has already been selling on eBay in the U.K. and it has now hit the U of T’s online auction site.
The seller, who is calling himself “the king of baby cakes,” is selling a dozen cakes for $3.99.
They’re available in a variety or different sizes and colours.
“We started off making baby cakes with the same formula as other bakeries in the UK,” the seller said.
“We wanted to make cakes for everyone and to do that, we started out with a very simple idea and the best we could come up with was a baby cake.”
The CakeBites cakes are available for up to five people and include the same ingredients as a normal baby shower birthday cake.
“I’ve had a lot of requests to sell these cakes in other countries,” the baker said.
“There is something about having them baked in the country you love that really brings home the experience.”
The cakes are also available for a small fee in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Spain and Sweden.
The buyer is hoping to raise enough money to make the cakes a permanent fixture in the world of baby showers.
